Ohio starting pitcher Seth Streich was named to the 2011 Mid-American Conference All-Academic Baseball Team Wednesday by the league.

Streich was one of the Bobcats' top pitchers and finished second in the MAC with an average of 6.9 innings pitched per outing.

The sophomore Streich finished with a 3-6 record a 4.00 ERA. His 80 strikeouts were good enough for sixth in the league while his 96.1 innings pitched this season ranks as the sixth-highest total ever by an Ohio pitcher in a single season.

A player must appear in at least 50 percent of his team's games and have a 3.20 cumulative grade point average to be considered for the All-Academic team.
