Ohio Athletics released the basketball schedule for the 2011-2012 season Friday.
The slate of games includes 17 home contests, with nine of those coming in non-conference play. Outside of the Mid-American Conference, Ohio's opponents finished with a combined winning percentage of .539.
Some key opponents the Bobcats will face hail from adjacent states. Ohio will visit Big East member Louisville and close-to-home rival Marshall in November. The team also travels to Rochester, Mich., to face the Oakland Grizzlies. The farthest distance the Bobcats will travel is to Portland, Ore. to face the Pilots.
In all, five non-conference opponents played in postseason tournaments last year.
Ohio will also face tough road tests in MAC play. The Bobcats will play in the first conference game at the new Stroh Center at Bowling Green. They close the season with trips to Kent State and Miami.
The Bobcats finished with a 19-16 record last season. They will have no seniors on this year's roster.
