For the second straight week, Ohio field hockey players have taken both Mid-American Conference Player of the Week awards.

Taylor Brown was named the MAC Offensive Player of the Week, and Louzeth Schutte won honors as the MAC Defensive Player of the Week.

Brown, a junior from Elkton, Md., scored the winning goal in overtime against No. 8 American on Saturday. She also scored the game-winner agaisnt No. 6 Ohio State in August. Brown has scored five times this season.

Schutte, a redshirt senior from Senekal, South Africa, has claimed the award for best defensive player in the conference all three weeks it has been given this year. She has three goals on the season, which is just one less than the number of goals Ohio's defense has given up all year.

The Bobcats face Robert Morris and Indiana next weekend.
