The Bobcats have taken the week leading up to Morehead State on Friday and Ohio State on Sunday.
Strauss has emphasized the possession style of play all season, and though it has been a half here and there for the Bobcats, she hopes to take the week and push the players further.
“This week, we have been working specifically on switching the play of attack, a little bit better of an understanding of the players on the ball, and what other options there are,” Strauss said.
Her offense has seen a steady increase in production with Kelsey Pichel notching the lone goal last weekend. Strauss is striving for the whole team to defend and attack as one unit.
“Reading the game offensively and tomorrow we will sure up our team defending in putting pressure on the ball the starting with our forwards,” Strauss said.
The transition from the mindset of playing Morehead State will be tasking; it is something the Bobcats are ready and looking forward to. Ohio's approach to the game will be slightly different.
“It’s going to be a little different. It’s a top 25 opponent, so we will adjust as needed,” Strauss said. “I think we just need to be a little smart and tactical in recognizing our strengths, and we should match up fine.”
