The Ohio football team reportedly is adding a new element to the Bobcat Blackout game against Temple Nov. 2.

According to wide receiver Chase Cochran and multiple other sources, the team will wear black helmets along with its black jerseys during the midweek game against the Owls.

About 6 p.m. Wednesday, Cochran tweeted, "Wow we are a blessed team. First all black uniforms, now we got an all black helmet."

Cochran later posted a follow-up tweet. "sorry to all my followers, I didnt get a picture of our new balck helemets, but big thanks to @OhioBobcatsFBEQ and the rest of the staff!

The Bobcats' football equipment staff posted a picture on Twitter of the new black helmets waiting to be assembled.

"The Cats will be dressed appropriately for the #BobcatBlackout ! Will YOU? #ohiobobcats #ohiou," the tweet said.

The game will start at 8 p.m. on ESPN.
