North of the border, former Bobcat Chris Garrett has run for 467 yards on 77 attempts this season. He is averaging 6.1 yards per carry and has reached the end seven times for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.

At his Wednesday press conference, Ohio coach Frank Solich said he still keeps in touch with Garrett via text.

"He’s doing great, enjoying it," Solich said. "Proud any time any of our guys get to go on and play football beyond the college level. Football meant a great deal to him. That talent is showing up up there. It’s great to see."

Solich said Garrett possessed a drive for the game that has led his to success.

Former Bobcat quarterback Theo Scott has signed with the practice squad of the Toronto Argonauts. Scott played three seasons for the Bobcats, where he threw for 3,359 yards during his career and 26 touchdowns. The Argonauts’ starting quarterback is Steven Iyles, who took over for former Miami Dolphin Cleo Lemon when Lemon was released in September.

Scott is the only quarterback on the Argonauts’ practice squad.
