For the fourth time in six weeks, the Mid-American Conference has given its Defensive Player of the Week award to an Ohio player.

Jen McGill became the fourth Bobcat to be honored this season. The award comes on the heels of a weekend in which she shut out Miami and did not allow a goal in more than 59 minutes of play against Ball State.

Ohio ranks third nationally in goals against, giving up on average only .82 per game. The Bobcats’ five shutouts on the year rank fifth overall.

Louzeth Schutte has won three defensive awards in 2011, and both Cathryn Altdoerffer and Taylor Brown have received the offensive award.
