With three field goals in as many attempts this weekend, Ohio place kicker Matt Weller eared recognition from the Mid-American Conference.
Weller was named the MAC East Special Teams Player of the Week Monday. He connected from 27, 46 and 33 yards out and also made all four of his extra-point attempts in the Bobcats' 38-37 loss to the Buffalo Bulls.
The redshirt junior from Twinsburg is Ohio's all-time leader in field goals and is fourth in all-time scoring. With another three points, he will tie Kevin Kerr for third on the scoring list.
Weller also had a 61.5-yard average on kickoffs and notched a touchback.
