After recording strong finishes in Saturday’s Mid-American Conference Championships, four Bobcat runners were named to All-MAC teams.
Receiving All-MAC First Team honors were women’s runners Juli Accurso and Emily Pifer.
Accurso was the overall individual crown runner of the conference meet as she took first place by over 100 meters. Pifer took seventh overall to help lead the Bobcats to a fourth place finish as a team.
On the men’s side, runners Tyler Ames and Noah Howkins both were named to the All-MAC second team after both Bobcats finished in the top 15 overall.
“Our training set us up perfectly to peak at the MAC meet,” Ames said. “It was really the best case scenario for a championship race like that.”
Being named to an All-MAC team is based on individual finishes in the MAC Championships.
The Bobcats will have 12 days to prepare for their next meet — the NCAA Regionals in Toledo.
