Two leaders who guided their teams to critical wins have been named The Post's Athletes of the Week.

Male Athlete of the Week: Tyler Tettleton — QB, football

Tettleton had his second 300-yard passing performance of the season during Ohio's 37-20 conference road win against Akron. He racked up 328 yards through the air on 21-of-29 passing. Tettleton threw two touchdown passes and picked up another on a 1-yard quarterback keeper.

The win marked only the second win in five weeks for the Bobcats and kept them in the middle of the Mid-American Conference East Division race.

The redshirt sophomore from Norman, Okla., has connected with receivers for 17 scores this season — and in his career — to put him 10th on Ohio's all-time passing touchdown list.

Tettleton also has five rushing touchdowns. He has been a part of 22 of Ohio's 28 offensive touchdowns this season.

Female Athlete of the Week: Taylor Brown — Field Hockey

Brown did not have a particularly explosive week, but she played an instrumental role in both Bobcat wins needed to lock up the MAC regular-season championship.

In two low-scoring matches, Brown put 11 shots toward opponents' goals, and five of them were on target. During Friday's match against rival Miami, she fired a shot on net that created a juicy rebound. Teammate Jessica Jue buried the rebound for Ohio's only goal of the game. Brown was credited with an assist on the play.

Against Ball State the following day, Brown took four shots and put two on target. She was the silent decoy in a 2-on-1 rush that led to Ohio's first goal of the match. The Bobcats won the match 2-1 in overtime and claimed the conference title outright.
