Although the football season is long gone for the town of Glouster, the Division VI postseason is just beginning to heat up.

The Trimble High School football team bowed out of the playoffs Saturday against Symmes Valley on the road, falling 28-19. Similarly, Beallsville stopped East High School's playoff push dead, defeating the Tartans by a score of 27-14.

Either Symmes Valley (10-1) or Beallsville (9-2) will play its last game Saturday when the teams go head-to-head.

The most direct comparison that can be drawn between the second round opponents is in their victories over the Tartans.

On October 7, the Vikings downed East 42-12 in a bout where Alec Herrell and D.J. Miller both ran for over 100 yards.

Symmes Valley, which is 7-1 at home, will host the Blue Devils Saturday.
