Ohio fell two spots from sixth to eighth in the latest American Collegiate Hockey Association computer rankings, released today by United States High School Hockey Online.

The drop comes after a split weekend with Central States Collegiate Hockey League opponents Indiana University, who jumped eight places up in the rankings from 32nd to 24th thanks to their 2-1 upset victory over the Bobcats last Friday.

The top five of Penn State, Delaware, Arizona State, Lindenwood and Liberty remains the same, while CSCHL foes Illinois and Iowa State leapfrogged the Bobcats into sixth and seventh.

Ohio will have a chance to jump back over Iowa State when they welcome the Cyclones for two games this weekend at Bird Arena, the first major test of the year for Ohio in Athens. Two wins there and the Bobcats could be back into the top five of the rankings by this time next week.
