Ohio punter Paul Hershey made his feelings about Ohio's bowl destination known over Twitter shortly after the Bobcats accepted a bid to the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl, to be played Dec. 17 in Boise, Idaho.

"Idaho, who the (bleep) wants to play there in December??," Hershey tweeted.

He later clarified his tweet by saying, "Punters don't like the cold. That's all I'm saying."

His twitter account, @PHershey41, was later deleted.

Despite some unrest from his punter, Ohio coach Frank Solich said on Monday that the team was excited to accept the invitation.

"They feel great about it," Solich said. "The cold weather will mean nothing to us. We play a third of our games in less than ideal weather. We don’t have an indoor facility so we’ve been preparing in cold weather for the past three bowl games. That is not a problem for us."

Solich said he did not see Hershey's tweet but did hear about it.

"I think it’s too bad that it happened because I do know what our team is about and how our players feel about getting the opportunity to be in this game," he said. "They’re looking forward to it very much so.

"That is not very indicative of the team, the program or the university."

"I have yet to determine disciplinary action to be taken with Paul but obviously that is something that should have never happened," Solich said. "We'll handle it and move forward."
