Ohio moved up one spot to 5th position in the latest American Collegiate Hockey Association rankings, released earlier today.

The jump comes after the Bobcats went 4-0, including two wins against 7th-ranked Iowa State, since the rankings last came out Nov. 18. The Cyclones dropped from fifth to seventh due to the two losses.

However, the 'Cats will have an uphill battle to stay in the top five after losing 3-1 to 20th-ranked Arizona University in Tuscon last night. They'll have a chance to redeem themselves in a big way as they face third-ranked Arizona State starting tonight. Two wins there and Ohio could be looking at cracking into the top three.

As for the rest of the top five, Penn State and Delaware stayed one and two, respectively, after splitting a two-game series Nov. 18-19. Lindenwood dropped one spot to No. 4 after dropping a two-game set to Oklahoma last weekend, but the Lions were able to remain the top Central States Collegiate Hockey League team by a slim ten-point margin.

In all, five CSCHL teams (Lindenwood, Ohio, Iowa State, ninth-ranked Illinois and 11th-ranked Robert Morris) placed in the top 11 positions in the rankings, by far the most of any conference. Kent State also came in at the No. 22 spot, while Indiana, the lowest ranked of the seven CSCHL schools, was the first team left out of the top-25.
