After two stellar performances before Christmas, Ohio forward Ivo Baltic was named the Mid-American Conference East Division Player of the Week.
Baltic led the Bobcats in their critical road win at Northern Iowa last Tuesday. He contributed 22 points to surpass his season high and helped to hand the Panthers their second loss of the season.
Three days later, Baltic chipped in 11 points and added nine rebounds in Ohio's 82-66 win against North Carolina A&T.
Baltic shot 70 percent on field goals in the two games.
Thanks to the wins, Ohio received five votes in Monday's ESPN/USA Today Coaches Poll. The voting puts Ohio in a tie for 32nd place in Division I college basketball.
