Ohio head coach Frank Solich announced the replacement of former defensive line coach and special teams coordinator Pete Germano Tuesday.
Jesse Williams, the former defensive line coach at New Mexico State, was named to the same position at Ohio.
Williams' Aggies team was second in red-zone defense in the Western Athletic Conference this past season.
New Mexico State's defense gave up 44 points against Ohio last season in a season-opening 44-24 win for the Bobcats.
