Sophomore Laurin Williams has been named the Mid-American Conference Swimmer of the Week.
This is the second consecutive week that an Ohio swimmer or diver has been recognized. Freshman diver Haleigh Bartlett was honored last week as the MAC Diver of the Week.
Williams won four events for Ohio this week during meets against Youngstown State and Marshall. Tuesday night against Marshall, Williams won the 1650-yard freestyle, finishing more than 20 seconds in front of the nearest competitor.
She also took first place in the 500-yard freestyle later in the meet for Ohio.
