After playing three games in three days over the weekend in the Central States Collegiate Hockey League tournament, Ohio’s hockey players will get a hard-earned day of rest Monday to relax their weary bodies.

Ohio usually practices Monday and then has a rest day on Tuesdays, when the team has a video session.

This week the team will get its rest day on Monday before practicing Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

“They need to rest a little bit, it wouldn’t do any good being on the ice tomorrow,” coach Dan Morris said after the team’s loss to Lindenwood Sunday. “They’re pissed off so we’ll just give them a day off to get away from the rink.”

The Bobcats will be back in action this weekend in a two-game series against Adrian at Bird Arena, the final two home games of the season. Friday’s night’s faceoff is set for 7:30.
