The Ohio swimming and diving team finished in first place after the first round of competition.

Through six events, the Bobcats tallied 239 points. The closest competitor is Buffalo with 162 points.  

Ohio had strong performances throughout the night, which helped cement its lead. Sophomore Lauren Funk, senior Annie Donovan, junior Katey Brooks and senior Abby Corcoran led off the night with a second-place finish in the 200-yard freestyle relay. Sophomore Laurin Williams followed with a second-place finish in the 500-meter freestyle.

The Bobcats were also strong on the diving boards, as sophomore MaryRose Hillstrom finished second in the one-meter diving competition.

Ohio starts the second day of competition with preliminary rounds at 11 a.m. and the finals at 7 p.m.
