Ohio's first trip to the Sweet 16 since 1964, coupled with the first football bowl win in program history has elevated the Bobcats into elite company.

Ohio is one of just six schools to have a bowl win and two NCAA Tournament men's basketball wins during the 2011-2012 school year.

Baylor, Cincinnati, Florida, Michigan State and North Carolina State also advanced to the Sweet 16 and won a bowl game.

Ohio defeated fourth-seeded Michigan 65-60 on Friday and No. 12 South Florida 62-56 on Sunday in Nashville.

The football Bobcats defeated Utah State in the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl in Boise on Dec. 17. It was Ohio's first bowl win in six tries, and marked the first 10-win season for the Bobcats since 1968.

Of all Football Bowl Subdivision teams, only Michigan State has more combined football and men's basketball wins than Ohio.

The Spartans lead all programs with 40 combined wins, while Ohio, Baylor and Kentucky each have 39.

The 13th-seeded Bobcats will take on top-seeded North Carolina in the regional semifinals in St. Louis on Friday.
