Ohio junior hurler Seth Streich was named the Mid-American Conference East pitcher of the week Tuesday after striking out six in his complete game win against Akron Sunday.
He allowed only one earned run in the performance, which was Ohio's third-straight one-run victory.
The complete game was Streich's third of the season, second on the team to only Brent Choban, who has four.
The junior captain (3-5) has a 4.65 ERA in his 10 appearances this season and has held opposing batters to a team-low .275 batting average.
He is the eighth Bobcat to be honored by the MAC this season.
