After a month of waiting, former Ohio wide receiver Riley Dunlop finally received a professional football tryout.

Dunlop worked out for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers of the Canadian Football League on Wednesday, and said he was happy with his performance.

"It went really well. I ran great routes and caught everything," Dunlop said. "I couldn't have shown much more. I feel good about it."

Dunlop said he ran the 40-yard dash in times of 4.48 and 4.52 seconds.

Winnipeg is coming off a season in which it made it all the way to Grey Cup championship game before falling to British Columbia.

Dunlop was Ohio's second leading receiver in 2011 with 43 receptions and six touchdowns.

If he makes the team, Dunlop will join former Ohio running back Chris Garrett, who was one the Blue Bombers' leading rushers in 2011.

Dunlop had previously expressed interest solely in NFL teams, but was not offered a tryout.

Now his hopes rest in Winnipeg.

"They're only picking up two receivers but said I looked really good," Dunlop said. "They should be contacting my agent within two to three days."
