13 Ohio football players earned 14 spots on Phil Steele's preseason All-Mid-American Conference team. 

Defensive back Travis Carrie, linemen Tremayne Scott and Eric Herman and kicker Matt Weller were each named to the first team. All four are entering their senior season with the Bobcats.

Quarterback Tyler Tettleton and linemen Skyler Allen and Jon Lechner were each named to the second team. Carrie was also named to the second team as a punt returner. 

Tight end Jordan Thompson, defensive back Gerald Moore, lineman Carl Jones and linebacker Alphonso Lewis were each named to the third team while running back Beau Blankenship and lineman Neal Huynh were named to the fourth team. 

The Bobcats led the conference with 14 selections. Bowling Green and Northern Illinois were close behind with 13 and 12, respectively. 

With only two selections, Akron had the least amount of players represented.
