The 2012 Mid-American Conference tournament ended with some surprises and some expected outcomes.

Miami, which owned the best record in the conference, won the tournament, defeating Central Michigan for the title.  The RedHawks were the top seed in the tournament, and their lone loss came against the Chippewas. Miami met Ball State, the second-best team in the tournament, on Friday by a 4-2 score.

Central Michigan was the surprise of the tournament, finishing the regular season in third place in the MAC West before defeating Miami last weekend.
