The redshirt senior offensive joins teammates Travis Carrie and Matt Weller by being named to one of college football's major award watch lists. Herman was named to the Lombardi trophy award watch list and is the second consecutive Ohio lineman to be named to the list (Joe Flading).
He was part of an offensive line that opened holes for the Ohio backfield to rush for over 200 yards in nine games this past season.
To be eligible for the award, one must be an end-to-end lineman that lines up no farther than 10 feet from left or right side of the ball or be a linebacker that lines up no farther than five yards from the line scrimmage.
