For those who have been in a fantasy league with co-workers or friends, we have all played with that guy.

You know, that guy, who doesn’t chip in for the league prize.

They’re the worst. Don’t be that guy.

Now I’m not condoning the idea of gambling your money away on sports, but there’s something about paying cash to play in your fantasy league.

It makes the stakes higher and it makes playing even more valuable. Nothing conjures up a tenser atmosphere than drafting a team with money on the line.

Now things don’t need to be as outrageous as FXX’s The League, but a league where the competitiveness is high, makes for a more engaging fantasy league.

My point: pay for you fantasy league. I know, it seems juvenile to pay for fantasy sports, but in the end, you’ll have more fun.

Would it kill you to pay ten dollars for a league? No, unless you’re a broke college student like me.

Fantasy Player of the Week: Ryan Getzlaf, Forward for Anaheim Ducks: With Getzlaf pushing his point total to 64, he is tied for second place in the NHL for most points this season. Anaheim is sitting pretty inside the Western Conference, largely because of Getzlaf’s play.
