Ohio's losing skid continued as the Bobcats lost their seventh-straight. Once again, Ohio also gave up 36 in the second half, which has happened every game during the streak. 

 

Second Half

The second half opened with high percentage shooting from both teams, as the Eagles led 46-40 at the first media timeout with 13:48 to play. A 7-0 scoring run by Eastern Michigan increased its lead to 53-40 with 11:55 left. Ohio struggled feeding the ball down low in the paint, either turning the ball over or forcing bad shots. At the final media timeout with 3:43 to play, the Eagles led 66-48.

Ohio finished the contest shooting 37.7 percent from the floor and 26.9 percent from three-point land. Eastern Michigan had a 44.6 percent field goal percentage and 42.9 percent from three.

First Half

Ohio got off to a slow start, as Eastern Michigan opened the contest with an 13-2 lead. The Bobcats rebounded, closing the gap to two at 19-17 with 7:46 left in the half. Another run for the Eagles gave them a 32-23 lead at the break. Ohio coach Bob Boldon brought Byard in with two seconds left. 

 

The Bobcats shot 36 percent from the field and 25 percent from behind the arc. The Eagles had a 44 percent field goal percentage and 42.9 percent from three.

Preview

Ohio hosts Eastern Michigan on Sunday afternoon in The Convo. In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness, the Ohio team warmed up in pink shirts and will be wearing pink headbands and socks.

 

 

The Bobcats have junior guard Mariah Byard avaliable in their lineup for the first time since Jan 9. Also on the bench is Adyn Bucher, 10, who joined the team last Tuesday.
