Black struck out next, ending the inning with the bases loaded.

Top: A Madsen base hit on the first pitch put him on first. An error by the second baseman put Ohio runners at first and second base. Immediately following, Adryan was picked off at first. White was then walked, putting a runner back on first. A wild pitch advanced the runners to second and third. Emody was then hit by a pitch, loading the bases. Bredeson grounded out on the next pitch.

The next batter grounded out into a 6-4-3 double play, saving Ohio from any more damage.
