Freshman infielder Casie Hutchinson was named the Mid-American Conference East Player of the Week on Monday.
In conference play, Hutchinson has batted .625 with three RBIs and three runs scored. Over the last five games, she's had at least two hits in each contest.
During the four games this past weekend, Hutchinson had a team-high 10 hits. Her batting average and .688 slugging percentage also lead the Bobcats.
Hutchinson is the third Ohio player to have the honors so far this season.
