Ohio lost its seventh game in its last eight early Saturday afternoon, falling to St. Bonaventure 24-6. Jake Miller took the loss for Ohio, falling to 0-2 on the season. The team's record falls to 4-11.

Ohio got the scoring started in the bottom of the second inning with a two-run single through the middle by catcher Nick Bredeson. Bredeson then came around to score on a passed ball, giving Ohio a 3-0 lead.

The Bonnies bounced back quickly in the 3rd inning when centerfielder Tyler Bell smacked a 3-run home run to right-centerfield that tied the game. The Bobcats regained the lead briefly in the bottom of the third inning on a Scott White safety squeeze, but that would be he last time the game would be that close.

St. Bonaventure broke things open with four runs in the fourth inning on four hits and a Bobcat error. It followed with a run on two hits to make it an 8-4 game.

Ohio followed with its final scoring inning of the game, with an RBI triple by left fielder Tyler Wells an RBI single by John Adryan cutting the deficit in half to 8-6.

The rest of the game was an offensive explosion by the Bonnies, with run totals of six, four, and six, in the sixth, seventh and eighth innings. The Bobcats used a total of seven pitchers to get through the game.

Jake Rudnicki started the game for Ohio, lasting just 2 1/3 nnings and allowing three runs on three hits and three walks. Rudnicki struck out five. Miller followed for the Bobcats with 2 2/3 innings. He allowed seven runs, six earned, on seven hits and four walks, while striking out two.

Ohio pitchers allowed a total of 22 hits and walked 11 hitters. The team also committed seven errors.

Offensively, the Bobcats were led by John Adryan, who finished 3-for-3 with an RBI and a run scored. Wells went 2-3 with a triple, RBI and two runs scored. Garrett Black went 1-4 with a double.
