Game 1:

First Inning

Top: A couple singles by Kent State scored John Wilson and Alex Miklos scored on an error

Bottom: Longo had the lone hit for the Bobcats to lead off the inning, but three outs on two at-bats got the Golden Flashes out of the inning with no damage done.

Second Inning: Ohio 0, Kent State 2

Top: Kent State got one hit the innning, but just like Ohio's first inning, they were retired during the next two at-bats.

Bottom: John Adryan scored on a walk with the bases loaded.

Third Inning: Ohio 1, Kent State 2

Top: Three up and three down for the Bobcats defense.

Bottom: Three up and three down for Ohio's batters, as well.

Fourth Inning: Ohio 1, Kent State 2

Top: Cody Koch opens the inning with a solo home run. Roehn strikes out two to get out of the inning with only one run scored.

Bottom: Adryan was walked to open the inning, but the next three batters were retired in order, ending the inning.

Fifth Inning: Ohio 1, Kent State 3

Top: The Bobcats retired three batters on four at-bats. Only Golden Flash to reach base was hit by a pitch.

Bottom: The first three batters were retired by Kent State.

Sixth Inning: Ohio 1, Kent State 3

Top: The first two Kent State batters reached base and were advanced to second and third on a passed ball. Zarley Zalewksi scored on an RBI fielder's choice to short stop.

Bottom: Madsen singled to left, but the next three batters were retired in order.

Seventh Inning: Ohio 1, Kent State 4

Top: Two batters reached base, one hit by a pitch and another by a single to right. The next batter up popped short down the third base line, caught in a diving play by Bredeson. Justin Wagler was walked on the next at-bat, loading the bases. Two runs scored on an RBI double to right field by Zalewski. Another hit to center field scored two more runs. Roehn was pulled from the game and P Spencer Sapp replaced him on the mound. Sapp allowed two runs to score, on an RBI triple to right field. P Nick Nauracy replaced him immediately. 

Bottom: Bredeson reached base, but nothing ensued.

Eighth Inning: Ohio 1, Kent State 11

Top: Three batters retired in order for the Bobcats.

Bottom: Wells hit a double to left field, but a strikeout ended the inning.

Ninth Inning: Ohio 1, Kent State 11

Top: No hits or runs for Kent in the ninth.

Bottom: Three up and three down to end the game.

Starting pitcher: Rudnicki (2-0)

First Inning:

Top: Three up, three down for Kent State. 

Bottom: The Bobcats are retired in order. No hits and no runs scored.

Second Inning Kent 0, Ohio 0:

Top: Cody Koch ropes one into deep left and Austin Rieman couldn't hold on to the ball allowing Koch to advance to second. T.J. Sutton singles to center and moves Koch to third. Sawyer Polen hits a sac fly to right to put Kent State on top 1-0. Rudnicki gets Curtis Olvey to strike out.

Bottom: Wells reaches first after a bobbled ball by Kent State. Runner on first, no outs. Adryan flies out to right for the first out. Wells steals second. Runner on second, no outs. Rieman gets struck out for out number two. Wells advances to third after reading a ball in the dirt perfectly. Emody goes down swinging leaving one man on.

Third Inning Kent 1, Ohio 0:

Top: Fantastic diving catch by Longo to save a double in the gap. Top ten caliber play by the Bobcat centerfielder.  Rudnicki walks Alex Miklos to put a runner on with two down. Miklos steals second. Fly ball to second ends the threat. No runs off of zero hits. 

Bottom: Breedson pops out behind the plate for the first out. Callery flies out to center for out number two. Longo ropes a single in to shallow center for Ohio's first hit. Runner on first, two down. Black draws a walk. Two on, two out. Madsen flies out to center. No runs off of one hit. 

Fourth Inning Kent State 1, Ohio 0

Top: Zarley Zalewski lead Kent state off with a single. One on, no outs. Kochi walks. Two on, zero outs. Wells is blinded by the sun and is unable to track down the ball which landed on the warning track. Two runs score and T.J. Sutton makes it to third. 3-0 Kent State. One more scores after Sawyer Polen grounded out to short. After a couple of put outs Jeff Revesz makes Adyran miss and keeps the inning alive. Adyran makes a great catch at the wall which ends the inning.

Bottom: Three up, three down for the Bobcats

Fifth Inning Kent State 4, Ohio 0:

Top: A single in the gap by Zalewski adds another run for Kent State. But the Bobcats get out of trouble and make Kent State leave two runners on.

Bottom: Bredeson singles to left. Kent State gets Bredeson out at second on a fielder's choice. One man on, two outs. Longo goes down swinging to end the inning. 

Sixth Inning Kent State 5, Ohio 0

Top: Logan Cozart in to pitch for the Bobcats. Single to right by Curtis Olvey. Longo catches a line drive for out number one. Double by Jon Wilson puts two men on with one out. Milkos grounds out to the pitcher's mound. Two men on, two out. Shallow fly ball to shortstop and the Bobcats escape with no runs scored. 

Bottom: Bobcats go down in order with two strikeouts.

Seventh Inning Kent State 5, Ohio 0: 

Top: Corey Wells on the bump for the Bobcats. Bad hop puts a runner on first with no outs. T.J. Sutton laces a single putting two men on with one down. Ohio gets the 6-4-3 double play and no runners score. 

Bottom: Adyran ropes a single in the left-center gap. One man on, no outs. Rieman goes down swinging for the first out. Adyran almost caught stealing but the ball was dropped, he advances, runner on second, one out.  SIngle by Bredson loads the bases, one out. Callery goes down swinging for the second out. Pitching change for Kent State, their first of the game. Longo singles through the center of the infield driving in two runs for the Bobcats. Fly ball to second by Black ends the inning. The Bobcats left two men on.

Eighth Inning Kent State 5, Ohio 2

Top: Gerry Salisbury into pitch for Ohio. After two strikeouts from Salisbury, Ohio performs a perfect relay to get the runner and last out of the inning at the plate. Kent State scores zero runs.

Bottom: Madsen jumps over the first pitch he sees and ropes a single to center field. Another single up the middle by the Bobcats, this time by Tyler Wells. Madsen goes down swinging. Fielder's choice brings on the second out, Wells is out at second and Rieman goes to first. Pitching change for Kent State.  Emody draws a walk to load the bases. Groundball by Bredeson ends the inning. The Bobcats score zero runs. 

Ninth Inning Kent State 5, Ohio 2 

Top: Three up, three down for Kent State.

Bottom: 14 Chandler Geller in to pinch hit for the Bobcats. Geller goes down swinging for the first out. Longo ropes a triple to the right field wall. One man on, one out. Black grounds one to the shortstop who bobbles it. Black reaches first safely and scores a run. Throwing error by the second basemen puts a runner on second and third for the Bobcats. Tyler Wells up to bat. Wells grounds out and there are now two outs.  Adyran goes down swinging and the game is over. The Bobcats leave two men in scoring position in the bottom of the ninth.

Final Kent State 5, Ohio 0
