Eight points.

Ocho puntos.

8 pts.

That’s how many points I accumulated on my first two days of fantasy baseball. Eight measly points. My opponent? 66. Talk about no bueno.

A lot like my fantasy team name,

Matt Harvey’s Elbow

, which is poking fun at the New York Mets starting pitcher, I’ve been quite abysmal on my first time playing fantasy baseball.

It’s a hard sport to play, you see, as owners have to worry about starters and reserves and fielding and things like WHIP and etcetera. It’s a little overwhelming.

You add that with someone who doesn’t follow baseball like a religious cult (unlike some people) and you get a disastrous first start to a once promising fantasy baseball career.

Of course, I’ll keep at it. I don’t easily surrender to adversity, but it’s a little demoralizing to see my team go up on in flames.

Even someone who has the whole Cleveland Indians team is doing better than me. I'm not trying to disrespect the Indians, but come on now.

Talk about laying an egg.

Fantasy Player of the Week

:

Robinson Cano, Second basemen for the Seattle Mariners

- He’s basically the only player on my fantasy team doing anything.
