After notching three goals in a 5-3 win over Ball State, redshirt senior Lauryl Desch was named MAC Offensive Player of the Week early Tuesday.

Redshirt senior Lauryl Desch was awarded Mid-American Conference Offensive Player of the Week following her three goal performance in a 5-3 win over Ball State.

The accolade came after Desch scored her first career hat trick for Ohio, as the Charlottesville, Virginia-native has scored five of the past eight goals for the Bobcats.

Desch also produced an assist to Adele Sammons in Ohio's third win of the season.

Desch's performance helped cement Ohio's chances to make the MAC Tournament on Nov. 7-8 at Kent, as Ohio (3-8, 2-2 MAC) is now fourth in the conference.
