Ohio Football overcame heavy rain and a 14-0 deficit in the second quarter to defeat Jacksonville State in the Bobcats’ home opener at Peden Stadium by a final score of 29-27. After four periods of overtime, freshman quarterback Levi Davis ran into the end zone to score the game-winning two-point conversion.

Skate Jam rides on in spite of weather
12:00amAfter being delayed a day from Saturday due to rain, Skate Jam returned to the Athens Skate Park on Sunday, drawing a smaller but just as dedicated crowd. Though missing the live music originally planned, skateboarders, scooter riders, BMX riders and even roller skaters took to the skate park under the glaring sun to show off their tricks, compete and just have fun.
Bobcat Battalion honors 9/11 first responders 25 years later
Sep. 13The Ohio University Army ROTC took to Peden Stadium in Athens to take on the 9/11 stair challenge, climbing up 2,071 steps to honor the steps taken by the first responders at the World Trade Center. This year marked 25 years since the attacks on September 11, 2001.
UAOU rallies on College Green amid ongoing negotiations
Sep. 10The United Academics of Ohio University hosted a rally on College Green, drawing the support of hundreds of students, faculty, staff and Athens locals. The gathering coincides with the 400-day mark since UAOU began negotiations with the university.
