Does one role stand out amongst the rest?

I remember them each fondly for different reasons. It was really special to sing Sondheim … I love to work with the playwrights, so any time I can work with them is exciting. Of course, The 39 Steps is an amazing challenge … It was one of those things like, “Is this real life?” It was really special my third year to be able to work on such totally different pieces and work with so many of studiomates in each of them.

What will you miss most about OU?

I’ll miss the time with my studio because I know it will be very difficult to get us all in the same place ever again. And just silly stuff. There’s a tradition after the general auditions every semester to eat our feelings after — eat burgers at Pigskin — and it never stopped being fun. … I appreciate the community that we have here.

Who do you think has impacted you the most at OU?

I’m sure Shelley Delaney. Her Shakespeare class was amazing. Getting to work side by side with her as an actor at Monomoy was wonderful. To be able to learn from her in that way — she’s inspiring, and we always want to make her proud.

What advice do you have for the incoming graduate acting class?

Opportunity is all around. You just have to seize it. … People are here. Go introduce yourself. strike up a conversation with someone.

What are your plans for the future?

I'm planning on going to Peterborough Players in Peterborough, New Hampshire to be part of their Second Company for the summer season. After that, I hope to be based out of the New York area but would also like to explore the theater scenes in other exciting East Coast cities like Washington D.C. and Philadelphia.
