On Monday morning Nov. 16, 2015, Ohio University freshman Colton Allen takes the stairs behind Brian Hall to get up Jeff Hill, or mountain, as Allen, who is studying biological sciences, would call it, on the way to biology class.

“To me they’re mountains. Have you ever seen Indiana? It’s flat, very flat. The biggest hill I’ve ever seen before coming here was about the size of Morton Hill,” he said.
