Back to Bobcat Basics: A fashion guide for students suffering from midterm stress

I don't know about you, but I have been struggling to put outfits together lately.

Between the fluctuating weather, stressing about midterms and being in a rush, I never feel put together. This week, I want to take the time to create a style guide for your upcoming school week. I know busy schedules can get in the way, but don't let them! Just follow these daily looks to make getting ready a little bit easier.

Monday

Let’s face it. Getting out of bed on Monday is hard. Putting together an outfit that matches, even harder. Today, go for something that takes a little bit less effort. Find your favorite leggings and pair them with a simple graphic t-shirt. Since fall is here, put a cardigan on top and slip on a pair of ankle boots.

Tuesday

The week is starting to heat up, and you need an outfit that will give you an extra boost of confidence. Today, find a simple, solid t-shirt dress and wrap a scarf around your neck to add instant flair.

Wednesday

It's hump day, and you're already counting down the days until you can sleep in. You're slowing down and today is a busy day, so opt for a “lazy” day.

Grab a pair of your favorite tennis shoes and pair them with exercise leggings and a classic Ohio University crew neck sweater. Yeah, go ahead and grab your comfy clothes. You deserve this one.

Thursday

Keep calm. You're almost there. Instead of throwing in the towel too early, take the time to look presentable. Look in your closet for a pair of your favorite jeans, and wear a plaid button-down shirt over a plain t-shirt. It's not the fanciest look, but you're still putting forth effort.

Friday

You've made it through. The last day of classes may tempt you to wear pajamas to class, but end your week on a high note. Choose a fall, knee-high boot to pair with leggings, a denim button-down top and a colorful necklace to add a pop of color.

I know, it's the middle of the semester, and classes, homework and extracurriculars are taking up all of your time, but don't give up on yourself. Self-care is a big part of feeling confident enough to succeed. Keep my fashion guide in mind this week, love yourself and conquer the rest of the semester in style.
