What you should do for Valentine’s Day 2022 based on your zodiac sign

Ah, Valentine’s Day. What some may consider the day of love or that one day a year that makes people feel incredibly single, it’s a holiday that can make anyone worry about what their plans should be. Can’t think of anything to do or are stuck on how to spend your time? Look no further, as we’ve curated a list of Valentine’s Day activities for all the star signs. Here’s what you should do for Valentine’s Day based off your zodiac sign:

Aries (March 21-April 19): Go on a hike

Hiking can be a great activity for an active Aries. You can get easily bored and antsy, so keeping your body moving will be a nice way to do something with friends or significant other. Athens has many great trails to offer both close to the university and a little bit out, such as Sells Park and Strouds Run State Park.

We suggest: the Rock House trail and the Ridges Loop trail.

Taurus (April 20-May 20): Write love letters

Taurus, your sentimental side and homebody personality makes writing love letters a good Valentine’s Day idea. You can break out the glitter pens, stickers and markers to show all the love you have for that special someone. The best part about love letters is they don’t necessarily have to be to a lover — you could write to a friend or parent as well.

Gemini (May 21-June 20): Have a spa night

Geminis are considered to be one of the most stressed-out signs, so take a night to relax and do some self-care. Whether it’s face masks, mani-pedis, a warm bath or shower, go all out for yourself and feel pampered. Geminis are also on the social side, so if you still want to be around people while rejuvenating, get a small group together and unwind.

Cancer (June 21-July 22): Watch rom-coms

If you’re a Cancer, you may know you can be a bit sensitive sometimes. Cancers also like to feel comfortable, so staying in with a warm fuzzy blanket and watching movies may seem like the ideal night. Bust out the romantic comedies that’ll have you shedding some tears from both laughter and softness this V-Day.

We recommend: 13 Going on 30 and 50 First Dates.

Leo (July 23-Aug. 22): Throw a date party

Leo’s love being social and want to stand out. What better way to do that than throw your own party? Have a date party, and pull out all the stops: fizzy drinks, red and pink décor, desserts and fun music for dancing. The social butterfly in you will definitely thrive in a space with all of your friends and other people around you.

Virgo (Aug. 23-Sept. 22): Make sweet treats

Virgos feel the urge to be of use and help out when it comes to almost any circumstance. Keep your hands busy by making some delicious desserts, and enjoy the reward of them afterward. Chocolate covered strawberries, cake pops, heart-shaped sugar cookies — the sky’s the limit with what you can make this holiday.

Libra (Sept. 23-Oct. 22): Do a themed dinner

A themed dinner can be a nice event for a visionary Libra like you. Libras are prone to fantasize and dislike being alone, so put your imagination into a dress-up concept party for all of your friends. Decorate the house or dorm in corresponding decoration, and incorporate the food and drinks into the theme, too. Try a: black-and-white theme, Roman noga or Night in Paris theme.

Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 21): Visit a museum

Although a bit reserved and quiet, Scorpios can enjoy going out, too. A museum outing is a good compromise of doing something social while also not being too overwhelming. Take a stroll as you look at exhibits, and if you go with someone, consider stopping by a café and talking about your favorite pieces with them.

Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 21): Try a DIY

Sagittariuses love a good challenge and doing something new. Take Valentine’s Day as an opportunity to learn a new skill or try your hand at a unique project. Crochet a stuffed animal, make tissue paper flowers or attempt making paper stars. No matter what you choose, you’ll feel fulfilled by what you accomplish.

Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 19): Have a game night

Game nights may be a good match for an ambitious Capricorn. Allow some of your competitive side out, and let loose by playing games with a significant other or group of friends. Activities like Monopoly or games of strategy would play well into your organized personality, but Jackbox Party games can also show off your funny side and humor.

Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 18): Sip and paint

If you’re an Aquarius, you probably have tons of creativity. Get some friends together or spend some time with your significant other, and let those creative juices flow with a sip and paint night. You could put on a Bob Ross tutorial, get some inspiration from Pinterest or free hand it, but don’t forget your drink of choice on the side!

Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20): Star gaze

What better way to fuel a Pisces’ hopeless romantic side than going stargazing? Pisces are also big dreamers with their heads in the clouds, so taking the time to go watch the stars may be a perfect Valentine’s Day activity. If you want to get a clearer view or have some more privacy, bring a blanket and head over to the Ridges for a night of looking at constellations.
