Post Letter: EPA legislation needs approval

As you may have noticed, extreme weather has been hitting America. From Hurricane Sandy to intense flooding, weather patterns have been unusual.

Scientists predict that these events will only get worse as time goes on. These extreme weather conditions are happening because of the unstable climate we have today because of global warming.

Human activity emits carbon, but the largest single-contributor to global warming pollution is the increasing carbon emissions from power plants. I urge everyone to take a stand on this terrible situation, and support the EPA’s new Carbon Rule that will put restrictions on power plants.

Ohio ranks second in the nation on the amount of carbon emissions, and frankly, that is embarrassing. I am urging Sen. Sherrod Brown to support these new limits on carbon from power plants to help leave a better future for our children and for the environment.
