A professor visiting on behalf of the Ohio University interior architecture program will give a public lecture at noon today in Grover Center W115.
Eugene Tsui, an architect, planner, builder and designer based in San Francisco, will teach design studio courses for the interior architecture students from today until Oct. 22. Tsui is visiting OU through the Thomas Ewing Visiting Professorship.
According to a November 2002 press release, Thomas Ewing Professors are expected to be distinguished individuals who have attained wide recognition based upon artistic
engineering historical literary or scientific achievement.
The university allots about $30,000 per year for one or several Thomas Ewing professorships.
A reception for Tsui is planned for 4 p.m. today on the third-floor Grover bridge above the atrium space. The public is invited to the lecture and the reception. Food and beverages will be offered.
