Students who have class after 2 p.m. today may walk into empty classrooms.
All students and faculty are invited to the inauguration of Ohio University's 20th president, Roderick McDavis, at 2 p.m. today at Templeton-Blackburn Alumni Memorial Auditorium.
To ensure that everyone has the opportunity to attend, supervisors are required to dismiss their faculty if they wish to see the celebration, and class for students is optional. Individual professors are able to decide whether to hold or dismiss class, but not all students are required to be present.
