Welby (@welbythewallaby), this week’s star, is a wallaby with just over 1,300 followers. Wallabies are in the same family of marsupials as kangaroos, but are much smaller and probably couldn’t beat you up like a kangaroo could.
Quality of Pictures
Many of the pictures on this account seem to be taken with a phone, but there are some pictures taken with a camera included as well. However, some posts have a tacky filter that is a little distracting from the subject matter.
Welby can be seen dressing up and hanging out around his home. In fact, most of the posts seem to be taken inside the home, which leaves the viewer wishing for a little more. In addition, a lot of the pictures posted in succession seem to be of the same “photoshoot,” and thus show Welby in the same outfit and location. However, his outfits are the redeeming quality here. He wears sweaters, flannels and hoodies to name a few clothing choices he enjoys.
Rate of Posts
Welby’s owner makes a post almost every day. The issue, however, was mentioned above. Many of the posts are very similar, which results in pretty much seeing the same picture each day for a few days straight. If you have a short attention span and don’t mind seeing a wallaby wearing the same sweater a few days in a row, then by all means give this account a follow. It doesn’t detract too much from the experience, but a little more variety would be nice.
Cuteness of Pet
I have a soft spot for any animal with style who likes to wear clothes, but Welby is a personal favorite. I don’t think I even knew what wallabies were before I saw this account, but I’m glad my eyes were opened. Having a pet wallaby would be like having a small kangaroo you can dress up and take on walks — something I think we all could benefit from.

Without different content to keep things fresh, this account can get a little stale. With that being said, however, it’s still worth a follow. Welby is a very cute marsupial who also happens to have a sense of style.
