Juvenile arrested
Deputies with the Athens County Sheriff’s Office responded to Glouster to locate a missing and endangered juvenile. More investigations determined the juvenile had been involved with criminal activity. The juvenile was located, arrested and taken to the Muskingum County Juvenile Detention Center. At the time the media report was released, the investigation was ongoing.
Well-being check
Athens County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to Jacksonville to conduct a well-being check on an individual. Upon speaking with the individual, deputies determined they were fine. The scene was cleared, and patrol resumed.
Saturday, Sept. 26
Whoops, my bad
Deputies with the Athens County Sheriff’s Office responded to Slater Drive in The Plains following a 911 hang-up call. Deputies arrived on the scene and spoke with a man who said his granddaughter had accidentally called 911 while on his phone. Patrol resumed.
Derby car
Athens County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded near the Albany Fair after reports of a derby car driving on the road. Deputies patrolled the area, but the derby car was not located.
Sunday, Sept. 27
Where’d they go?
Deputies of the Athens County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to North Plains Road in The Plains after reports of a suspicious individual. Deputies arrived at the business, but it was determined the individual had already left.
Just stop fighting
Athens County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to state Route 550 in Athens following a dispute between neighbors. Deputies made contact with both parties. Both parties were given warnings for disorderly conduct.
Monday, Sept. 28
Warrants of the Week
The Athens County Sheriff’s Office has a warrant of arrest out for David Roberts. Roberts is wanted for receiving stolen property, identity fraud, forgery and petty theft. Tina Faddis also had a warrant out for her arrest, but she was located and arrested by deputies Wednesday. Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Roberts is to contact the Sheriff’s Office immediately.
Fighting with the family
Deputies with the Athens County Sheriff’s Office responded to Coolville following a disagreement between a mother and son. Deputies spoke with both parties at the scene and determined nothing criminal had taken place. Deputies told the mother and son that if they could not figure out their issues, one of them should consider moving out of the house. Both individuals were given disorderly conduct warnings.
Tuesday, Sept. 29
You have to go to school!
Athens County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to The Plains regarding a child who refused to go to school. Deputies arrived on the scene and were able to convince the juvenile to attend school.
All good now
Deputies with the Athens County Sheriff’s Office responded to South Plains Road in The Plains regarding a locked residence. The caller told deputies the door had locked behind her while her child was napping inside. While deputies were en route to the scene, the woman called back. She was able to get back into the residence and did not require any further assistance.
Wednesday, Sept. 30
Not quite your house
Athens County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to Shade after receiving a call from a woman who said an unknown man had entered her home. Deputies were able to make contact with the man on the scene. The man was having a medical issue and believed he was at his own house. The man was taken to the hospital by ACEMS.
Arrested
Deputies of the Athens County Sheriff’s Office arrested Tina Faddis and Scott Tippie for their outstanding felony/no bond and misdemeanor warrants. Faddis was wanted for identity fraud, possession of drugs and theft, but on the day of her arrest, she was found with suspected narcotics and drug paraphernalia. The paraphernalia was located in the common room, where the child in the house could have been harmed, so new charges are being pursued for child endangerment and suspected narcotics found.
Thursday, Oct. 1
Break those windows
Deputies with the Athens County Sheriff’s Office responded to Glouster after reports of a broken window. Deputies on the scene spoke with the caller and took photographs of the incident. Patrol resumed.
Nevermind
Athens County Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to The Plains regarding an unruly juvenile. Deputies on the scene made contact with the caller. However, once on the scene, the caller told deputies she did not want them speaking with the child.
