Ohio University junior Lianne Vernell died Monday afternoon at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus after unexpected complications following a medical procedure.-

Stevens, who has known Vernell since her freshman year, described her as a beautiful tenacious woman who was kind and made friends with many different kinds of people.
It was such a loss Stevens said. She just had this aura about her.
Ryan Lombardi, associate vice president for Student Affairs and Dean of Students, said the university has contacted Vernell's family and is offering support.
Certainly our thoughts and prayers go out to them
he said.
