Student Senate elections are upon us. (The Post)
Good Morning,
As students sober up after the first weekend of fest season, it’s important to remember academic advising starts this week.
Students need to be sure to do some preparation before meeting with their advisors. According to Ohio University’s website, advising sessions aren’t just about an advisor telling students what to do, but rather, advisees should “seek assistance in decision-making rather than expect the advisor to make decisions.”
Students should bring their DARS, a draft schedule and written questions to their advising sessions. Students need to schedule a time to meet with advisors in advance, according to the website.
If students are having trouble scheduling, they should ask about graduation requirements for their majors and check out the convenient course lookup site.
Schedule well, Bobcats. Your graduation may depend on it.
