The Ohio University Bobcat is back on duty as of Saturday's Ohio vs. Kent State men's basketball game at The Convo, said Adam Covington, a member of the Senior Class Council.
The Bobcat went off duty during last weekend's men's basketball game to help the Senior Class Council collect donations for their class gift.
This year, the gift will be an endowment for the University Professor program. The program honors undergraduate professors who are nominated and chosen to receive $2,000 to develop and teach two classes of their own design.
Last week's donation collections at College Gate, the dining halls and bookstores brought in about $80, but administrators and academic departments are making donations, Covington said.
The fundraiser went fairly well
although student and alumni response could have been better Covington said.
Senior Class Council is still accepting donations, which can be sent to Konneker Alumni Center.
