Please let the general populace of Ohio University know that the first Station Street Oktoberfest 2007 Athens Style is CANCELED. Unfortunately, owners' land rights and property issues win out over the community's right to use land for a three-day celebration. Regrettably, the students and residents could have had fun, raised money for charity (Southern California raised over $500,000) and made some money themselves while selling their crafts and such. Perhaps next year, we can try to work together to have a space where we can give the Oktoberfest a home to be proud of. I actually thought the Station Street Plaza and former train depot would be that space. What was I thinking?
