I have been following the commentary concerning the Jonathan Bebb case. Anyone who is charged with a crime is entitled to post bond if the judge assigned to the case grants a bond to the accused. The student body and some citizens of Athens seem to be outraged about the low bond set in this case. I wish to remind everyone that Jonathan Bebb is accused of a crime, but he has not been convicted of it. Before you judge, do you know anything about Jon Bebb's relationship with his father? Have you ever had disagreement with your father that seemed at the time to be irresolvable? I don't believe that the OU students and faculty have to worry about Jon Bebb if he is released from jail on bond. Panic doesn't solve problems; it just adds to them.John Popisil is a student at Ohio University.
