In 2024, the Big Ten will compete as a total of 18 teams. The move from 13 to 18 teams was announced in 2023 and is taking effect this fall. The expansion added West Coast schools such as USC and UCLA. The two teams previously played in the Pacific-12 Conference, otherwise known as the Pac-12. With the recent realignment, the Pac-12 no longer exists with multiple teams leaving it and joining other conferences. The new Big Ten has some benefits, such as television networks making more money off of streaming college sports. However, with the expansion comes a lot of negatives.

“Hit Man” (2023) is directed by Richard Linklater and stars Glen Powell, Adria Arjona, Austin Amelio and Retta. The movie was screened at a few film festivals in 2023, with Netflix securing distribution rights at the 2023 Toronto International Film Festival. It played in select theaters on May 24, 2024, before being available to stream on Netflix in June.

I haven’t seen my best friend in nearly three months. Until now, we hadn’t gone more than two weeks without seeing each other since the day we met during Welcome Weekend of our freshman year. I left our shared dorm halfway through the spring semester to study abroad in Leipzig, Germany, where I will live until the end of July. That distance has been remarkably uncomfortable and difficult, but it has allowed room for growth and new opportunities.

When I first got to The Post I had this larger-than-life urge to make content that resonated with people. Now that I’m sitting here over 200 stories later, I wonder if it was remotely worth it. I’ve poured years of my life into this university, more specifically this organization, and what do I have to show for it other than a piece of paper and a more detailed resume? I hear that line of thinking weekly and it shortchanges the college experience.
