One of the collegiate experiences students most look forward to is the chance to study abroad. Over Spring Break, the UK: Suffragettes and Soldiers class, taught by Dr. Carey Snyder, will fulfill this desire with a trip to London, in which they will synthesize their coursework of the past eight weeks.

As the rapid development of artificial intelligence, or AI, technology continues, concerns are mounting over its potential impact on the job market, economy and society as a whole. There has been a longstanding fear of technology replacing human jobs, and the advent of increasingly advanced AI technology like ChatGPT has stoked those fears. However, history has shown that technological advancements have also created new job opportunities, and it's possible that the same could be true with AI.

Ohio University celebrated its 219th birthday Saturday afternoon at the Founders Day Birthday Bash in Baker Ballroom. From 1-4 p.m., alumni, students, staff and Athens locals enjoyed a variety of performances, activities and food.
The event was a collaboration between the Student Alumni Board, or SAB, and the Ohio University Alumni Association. Hannah Protsik, a graduate student studying education, serves as the early engagement graduate assistant for the Alumni Association. Part of her role includes overseeing SAB, which she said had previously led Founders Day events.

The doc is in! For Myiesha Taylor, a board-certified emergency medicine physician specialist, the doc is always in. On Tuesday, Feb. 21, at 5:30 p.m., Taylor will present via Zoom a lecture titled “How a Cartoon is Changing the Face of Medicine.” The lecture is part of Ohio University’s Black History Month events.
